What is The Marriage Course?

The Marriage Course is a series of seven sessions over seven weeks, designed to help couples invest in their relationship and build a strong marriage.

Nicky and Sila Lee, authors of The Marriage Book, developed The Marriage Course for couples looking for practical support to strengthen their relationship. The course is designed to help couples build strong foundations, learn to communicate more effectively, and resolve differences well.

Who is it for?

The Marriage Course is for couples who are seeking to strengthen their relationship. Some couples do the course to intentionally invest in their relationship, others are looking to address more specific challenges. Either way, the course offers essential tools and practical ideas to help you build a relationship that lasts a lifetime.

March 5th - April 16th

What to expect?

1. Private

  • Opening up and being vulnerable is never easy, to help each couple open up to their spouse the evening is designed so that no couples engage with one another. This is a table for two date night.

2. Eat together

  • Each session begins with couples eating together. This gives guests a chance to unwind and connect before the session’s episode. It also helps to create the atmosphere of a date.

3. Watch episode

  • The episodes are around 45 minutes in length, with breaks for conversations. Each episode explores a different topic through real experiences, expert insights, and relevant teaching.

4. Talk privately

  • Providing space for couples to have private, intimate conversations is a must for every course. It helps enable couples to engage openly and honestly throughout the session.

$280/couple

Includes registration fee, workbooks, and three course meal

Fortifying Marriages by Serving

To make this event a success volunteer help is needed. There are several ways that you could help involving various skills and commitment levels.

  • Moving tables and chairs into place Tuesday morning

  • Making centerpieces for the dinner tables. You can make these ahead of time and we will place them or set them up yourself any time Tuesday afternoon.

  • Placing table clothes, place settings, and drinks on the table. Any time Tuesday afternoon.

  • Make a dessert for 20 considering dietary restrictions. Delivered to the church by 6:00pm

  • Arrive at the church between 6:00 and 6:15 to serve the couples their food and drinks and help to put the tables and chairs away. A commitment for the full 7 weeks would be preferred.

  • Washing the dishes from the evening.
